Wollaton Hall Opens Doors To allow us to run our Photo Workshops!

Keen photography beginners in and around Nottingham are being given an opportunity to learn the basics of Digital Photography with Andy Wallis whilst taking photographs in and around Wollaton Hall.

Set to take place on May 8th, the brand new course offered by Andy Wallis Photography will teach students how to make the most of their digital cameras, encouraging them to take better pictures.

For a few years now I have been passionate about taking photographs of historical landmarks in my spare time. I am often approached by people who ask me how to make the most of their digital camera and so I decided to start a series of courses aimed at those seeking to improve their skills.

The great thing about this course is that no matter what camera you have, I can work with you to improve your skills, so whether you just take photographs at family events or you are looking to take better photographs for business use, the course will provide those who enrol with a once in a lifetime opportunity to photograph both inside and outside the hall. And because we aren't allowed to use flash inside the hall, this is a great opportunity to learn how to use ambient lighting too.

Priced at just £85, the course will start with three hours of teaching in the classroom, and will go back to the very beginning, teaching students about the rules of composition. Students will then break for a cold buffet lunch and refreshments, followed by a few hours of taking pictures in and around the hall with a chance to review the photographs afterwards.

We are taking bookings now and there are a few spaces left. If the first course proves to be popular, we hope to hold more throughout the year.
