A great read!

A great book to look through if you want some basic do's don'ts and tips about digital photography is "The Digital Photography Book" by Scott Kelby. He talks to the reader as if he or she is with him on a shoot, not messing about with "why" and talking more about "how"...once you know "how" you can then go back at your lesiure and find out why.
